The idea behind Delmont
Delmont started from a small frustration. The clothes that look the most considered on a man are rarely the loudest ones, and they are almost never the ones with the biggest price tag attached. A soft knit polo that sits right at the collar. Suede loafers worn without socks. Trousers with enough room to move in. None of it shouts, and all of it works.
That is the whole brief we set ourselves. Take the codes that usually sit behind a velvet rope, strip out the gatekeeping and the markup, and put them somewhere a person can actually reach. We are not interested in hype, and we are not interested in cold minimalism either. We would rather make a wardrobe that feels warm, gets worn on ordinary days, and still looks right three years from now.
Our mission
We want getting dressed to be the easy part of your day. Our job is to keep a tight, useful edit of relaxed modern menswear in front of you, priced so that building a wardrobe piece by piece is a normal thing to do rather than a project you save up for. We would rather sell you one jacket you reach for every week than five you forget about.
Our vision
We think the next decade of menswear belongs to restraint. Softer shoulders, fewer logos, colors that sit next to each other without a fight. Delmont wants to be the label a man keeps coming back to as his taste settles down, not the one he grows out of. Over time we want the collection to read as one continuous wardrobe, where a piece bought this autumn still sits happily beside one bought two years later.
How the collection is chosen
Every piece here is chosen deliberately, and there is a real process behind it rather than a feeling. We start with what people are actually looking for in the season ahead, checked against demand for the coming months rather than what sold last year. We work to the northern hemisphere calendar, so an autumn edit is built for autumn.
Then we look at the photographs, closely and at full size. If a detail is not visible in the images, it does not go in the description or the title. That single rule removes a surprising amount of nonsense from a product page. We also check every color against its own photographs, so the image you see when you pick a color is that color and not a stand-in.
Finally we run the whole thing for consistency. Same size notation across the shop, same option names, the same delivery and returns information wherever it appears. It is unglamorous work and it is the reason the shop reads the way it does.
What you can expect from us
Shipping across the United States is free, with no minimum order value. We aim to have orders on their way within 1 to 3 business days, and delivery usually takes a further 5 to 8 business days, so 6 to 11 business days from order to doorstep. Orders placed after 4:00 PM EST/EDT (New York time) are picked up the following business day.
If something is not right, you have 30 days from delivery to send it back. We offer exchanges for size and color. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 days of the return reaching us. If a piece arrives faulty, the return is on us.
You can reach a person Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST/EDT (New York time). We answer our own email.
What we make room for
The collection sits across five areas that work together rather than separately. Loafers, mostly suede, made to be worn with everything from tailored trousers to denim. Knitwear, including half-zips, crew necks and hooded pieces for layering. Knit polos, which have quietly become the most useful thing in a lot of wardrobes. Outerwear built around overshirts, gilets and softly structured blazers. And long-sleeve shirts, henleys and crew necks that carry the rest of it.
A core of black, navy, gray, beige and brown runs through most of the range, with greens, blues and warmer shades where a piece calls for them. Pieces bought separately should still work together when they end up in the same drawer.
